notice of special events. You’ll also take pride in helping to
support over 50 programs at our Valley libraries.

What does the public library mean to you? It’s been called “an arsenal of liberty” – the singular place in America where children and adults from all backgrounds can tap into empowerment.
 
In the words of our President-elect, Barack Obama:
 
“If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible… tonight is your answer… [Change] can't happen without you, without a new spirit of service… So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility…”
 
One small step YOU can take to shoulder that responsibility is to support your public library – that bastion of democracy where Americans can access the resources that help them become better citizens. Just print out and mail the membership application with your check to the address on the form. 
 
At a time of economic hardship, when more people need to borrow books, or investigate a new career, or get free job information, we rely on the public library more than ever. Please help us to expand the wonderful services of the Ojai Valley's public libraries in the year ahead with your generous contribution!
